Kooperationsprojekt mit dem Institut d'Hautes Études de Sécurité, Paris (INHES)
Unterstützt von der EU-Kommission (Direction Générale Justice, Liberté et
Sécurité 2004; AGIS)
This
European project will analyse the current, radical Islamic, forms of terrorism
in Europe by comparing them to older - revolutionary or separatist - forms of
terrorism. By mobilising accumulated knowledge about already well-researched
forms of terrorism (violent separatism, revolutionary terrorism, state
terrorism, etc.), the terrorist "expressions" of certain radical Islamic
organisations, often presented as "original" or new, will be investigated. The
project will bring together scholars from various fields (sociology, political
science, economics, psychology) and state security officials (police, judiciary
and intelligence).
Laufzeit:
2004-2006.
